Term Pioneer plant

The first plant to colonize a particular place, or which has been introduced by human beings in a place, thereby becoming one of the first inhabitants of a plant community. As a pioneer, it is more resistant to environmental changes and variations in its surroundings. Normally, it is a species that gives rise to a cycle of ecological succession of plants.
