Term Troposphere
Definition

The lowest layer of the atmosphere, which extends from the Earth's surface to a height ranging from 9 km at the poles to 17 km at the Equator. It is also the area where airplanes fly. It concentrates most of the Earth’s oxygen and water vapor, regulates the temperature of the planet and is the layer where all of the weather phenomena such as winds, rain, and hurricanes take place.
