Term Marsh
Definition

A Shallow and flat wetland, with sandy mud and vegetation mainly formed by reeds and rushes. The vegetation and the waterlogged soil usually accommodate a wide variety of birds, reptiles and rodents. They are usually found on the coasts and estuaries, in naturally highly fertile and productive areas.

A marsh is different from a swamp, which is dominated by trees instead of herbaceous plants.
