Term Soil erosion control
Definition

Measures and practices aimed at reducing or eliminating soil loss by erosion. Among the techniques are contour planting, development of hedgerows, intercropping, terraces, infiltration ditches and strip cropping. To control wind erosion, rows of trees are used. These are known as windbreak curtains, which increase wind circulation and decrease its speed.
