Term Opportunistic species

Species that can ingest a wide variety of foods, depending on availability. It is capable of exploiting environments which change frequently, being more prone to altered or degraded habitats. It is characterized by its high dispersion and rapid growth and reproduction. An example of an opportunistic species is the pigeon.
