Term Bioremediation
Definition

A technique that uses biological systems, such as enzymes and certain living organisms (e.g., bacteria), to produce lysis or molecular changes in toxics, pollutants and environmentally important substances in the soil, water and in the air, resulting in compounds of lower or no environmental impact.
